Carmel Creek Auction is here!
If it’s spring then it’s SBFL Auction time at Carmel Creek! As always, proceeds from this school tradition help fund the SBFL’s annual commitment to Carmel Creek; namely, to underwrite program expenditures relating to Science Lab, Art Studio, Physical Fitness, & Technology. You won’t want to miss it! There’s something for the whole family including; cherished school art & outings, generous parent donations, and a variety of wonderful items donated by local businesses
Below you will find some important information which will be useful to your bidding strategy, (much of it is new since last year!):
8:00 am (on Monday, March 12th)
NEW - 9:00 pm* (on Friday, March 16th) *-except as noted below
a. This is an online-only auction.
b. You will need to register on our site in order to participate.
c. You will receive an email alert if you were out-bid on an item.
(Note: Do not rely upon this alert system toward the end of the auction when the pace of bidding can be downright frenetic!)
d. Winners will receive an email congratulating them and linking them to our PayPal account for payment.
*NEW – Auction Item Reset Rule:
We heard you! In response to last year’s feedback, we have built a new safeguard into the bidding system to allow all bidders the chance to participate in the fun of the fast & furious final moments!
Finally, we invite you to stop by our CC Online Auction Showcase (in the School Stage Area) after your P/T Conference. You can view, first-hand, every item up for bid then go home, get online, register and remember...
Here’s how it works:
In the last minute of the Auction, (at 8:59pm on Fri., March 16th), each item will have its own 60 second (1 min.) countdown clock.
If a high bid is placed within the countdown period, the countdown clock -for that particular item only- will reset back to the one (1) minute mark.
This process will continue indefinitely until no more bids are placed within the 60 seconds countdown period.
Don’t bid too late! There may be a lag on the internet that may prevent your bid from being registered in time. So, to be safe, try and bid when there is at least 5 seconds left on the clock.
